Upon arrival at JomoKenyataInternationalAirport, you will be met and assisted by African Legend Safaris Representative then transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: NAIROBI/SAMBURU.
After breakfast you will depart to the Samburu Game Reserve via the small town of Isiolo. Arrive and check-in then have lunch at your Lodge. Located in the semi-desert Samburu Game Reserve in Central Kenya the Lodge offers you a chance to see the bounty of animals. 1600hrs: Proceed on you first game drive in the reserve. Return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: SAMBURU.
You will spend a full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives.
Meals and overnight stay at your Lodge to the North of lush Mount woodland and rugged ranges that averages only 14” (350mm) of rain a year. At the southern edge of this arid region stands a trio of contiguous national reserves with varied lodging and good access by road from Nairobi, 200 miles (325 kilometers) to the south. Samburu Game Reserve (40,800 acres/16,500 hectares), Shaba National Reserve (59,058 acres/23,910 hectares, and Buffalo Springs National Reserve (32,400 acres/13,100 hectares) line the perennial Uaso Nyiro River, rimmed with towering river acacias and palms. The river and several springs attract much wildlife, especially in dry periods. Mammals restricted to the Masai arid zone are found here, such as Gravy’s zebra, the reticulated giraffe, the beisa Oryx, Guenther’s dik-dik and the gerenuk. Also present are lesser kidus, elephants, grant’s gazelles, lions, cheetahs, leopards and 350 bird species, including the blue-flushed Somali ostrich and the bristle-crowned starling.
DAY 4: SAMBURU/NAIROBI.
Have breakfast at the lodge and depart for Nairobi. Arrive and spend the afternoon at leisure, free for shopping or rest. In the evening proceed to Carnivore Restaurant for dinner and afterwards be transferred to the airport for departure back home.
